Terms & Conditions for Business
Payment Terms
CITYSTONECLEANING LIMITED payment terms are 14 days from the date of invoice. This applies to all account customers, unless otherwise agreed in writing by both parties prior to the commencement of works.
Non-account customers agree that once works reach the 50% completion milestone, payments may be required under a staged payment method.
If payment terms are breached, CITYSTONECLEANING LIMITED reserves the right to apply compound daily interest on any outstanding balance at a rate of 3% above the Bank of England base rate, applied only for the period the balance remains unpaid.

Accepted payment methods include:

Cash (£)
Cheques are not accepted. Should payment by cheque be unavoidable, an administration fee of up to 50% of the invoice value may be applied.
All rights reserved.
Retention
Retention is 0%. All works are warranted unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to commencement of works.
Discounts
No discounts apply unless agreed in writing prior to the commencement of works.
Any documentation requiring signature must be signed by a duly authorised representative of the contracting party.
Defects Liability Period
The defects liability period is 12 months from completion of the contract works, unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to commencement.
Service Scope
CITYSTONECLEANING LIMITED provides specialist stone, brick and masonry cleaning and restoration services. Services include but are not limited to the following:
Chemical Cleaning
Specialist chemical cleaning for the removal of:
Dirt and grime
Moss and algae
Lichen and biological growth
Atmospheric pollution and carbon staining
Environmental staining
Cleaning solutions are selected based on the surface material and contamination present.
Sandblasting & Grit Cleaning
Controlled sandblasting and grit cleaning methods are used for the removal of:
Heavy contamination
Stubborn surface deposits
Paint and coatings
Historic staining
Appropriate abrasive media and pressure settings will be selected to minimise surface damage.
DOFF Cleaning & High-Pressure Jet Washing
CITYSTONECLEANING LIMITED uses DOFF superheated steam systems and professional jet washing equipment designed to provide effective cleaning while protecting delicate masonry surfaces.
These methods are suitable for:
Historic buildings
Sensitive stonework
Large brick or masonry surfaces
Paint & Graffiti Removal
Specialist removal of:
Old paint coatings
Graffiti
Surface sealers and unwanted finishes
Cleaning techniques are selected to preserve the underlying stone or brick substrate.
Brick & Masonry Restoration
Restoration of worn or weathered brick and masonry surfaces to improve:
Natural colour
Surface cleanliness
Structural appearance
Long-term durability
Surface Condition Disclaimer
CITYSTONECLEANING LIMITED will exercise all reasonable care when carrying out cleaning and restoration works.
Due to the nature of masonry materials, the following may occur:
Colour variation following cleaning due to uneven weathering
Historic repairs becoming visible after cleaning
Previously hidden defects appearing once surfaces are cleaned
CITYSTONECLEANING LIMITED cannot be held responsible for pre-existing defects, structural weaknesses, damaged mortar, deteriorated stone, or underlying material failure that becomes apparent during or after cleaning works.
Cleaning Results
Whilst every effort is made to achieve the best possible results, complete removal of deep staining, historic contamination, or paint residues cannot be guaranteed due to the porous nature of stone and brick materials.
Access Requirements
All site access requirements, including scaffolding, towers, access platforms or MEWPs, are the responsibility of the requesting party unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to commencement.
Additional charges will apply where access equipment is supplied by CITYSTONECLEANING LIMITED.
Work Requests
A written request for attendance must be received by email or post confirming client requirements prior to attendance.
Orders must include the following details in order for works to be scheduled:
Company Purchase Order Number (if applicable)
Name and contact details of the person ordering the work
Confirmation that the person has authority to place the order
Company name and address
Accounts department contact details
Invoice address
Site address and site contact details
Photographs if requested
Site operating hours
Power supply availability (240v / 110v if required)
Parking availability
Site induction requirements
Any special site conditions or restrictions
Site Acceptance of Works
The requesting contracting party must provide an authorised on-site representative to inspect and sign off completed works where required.
Failure to provide a representative will be deemed as acceptance of completed works unless alternative arrangements are agreed in writing.
Survey & Quotation
Where CITYSTONECLEANING LIMITED is invited to survey or price a project, we reserve the right to charge a day rate equivalent survey fee depending on time spent.
If the works are secured by CITYSTONECLEANING LIMITED, this cost may be included within the project price.
If the works are not secured, an invoice may be issued for the survey costs incurred.
Abortive Visits
Failure to provide safe and adequate access on the scheduled date will be classified as an abortive visit and will be charged in full.
Works that cannot proceed due to incorrect site information, restricted access, unsafe working conditions, or occupied areas where access was previously confirmed will also be treated as abortive visits.
Weather & Environmental Conditions
Cleaning operations may be affected by:
Weather conditions
Surface moisture
Freezing temperatures
Wind conditions
Environmental restrictions
CITYSTONECLEANING LIMITED reserves the right to reschedule works where conditions are unsuitable or unsafe.
Delays beyond our control may result in additional charges where attributable to other parties.
Liability
CITYSTONECLEANING LIMITED accepts no responsibility for damage unless it can be proven to be directly caused by the negligence of our employees or subcontractors.
No responsibility is accepted for:
Existing structural weaknesses
Damaged mortar joints
Loose brickwork
Previously deteriorated stone surfaces
Adjacent areas will be protected where reasonably practical during cleaning operations.
VAT Reverse Charge
CITYSTONECLEANING LIMITED assumes customers are end users for the purposes of Section 55A of the VAT Act 1994.
Standard VAT invoices will therefore be issued unless the client provides:
A valid VAT number
A valid CIS number
Written confirmation they are not the end user
Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
CITYSTONECLEANING LIMITED is paid Gross under the Construction Industry Scheme.
Our Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) will be supplied upon request.
Currency
All estimates, quotations and invoices are stated in United Kingdom Pounds Sterling (£).
